The autobiography of poetry

Literature is the greatest escape. Its purpose is not to portray things as they are, but as they might be if they actually were portrayed as they are.

I've taken up the 'typewriter' book again, a novel about a man who tries to write a novel on a typewriter. The working title is, The Autobiography of Poetry. 

Looking through what I've already written--pages and pages of notes, dialog, passages of narrative--I see I've made a note on the manuscript to, write backwards, start with the publicity tour for the book and go from there...
