Birds are the superior species. For the most part they live quietly, don't make a big deal about their lives, and die without a trace.

When birds fly it's like they're going from room to room, turning on the light in front of them so they know where they're going and are able to see it clearly when they get there, and turning the light off when they leave the room.

That birds can fly is their grace note.

Birds never reach the point where there's no more good to be gotten from the thing that they're doing, nor do they wear bumper stickers.

Birds can't be compared to men or women, other than to say that both species are doing the best they can, and that birds often do the best they can better than men and women.

Birds may be grateful that men and women are starting to wake up and see that they need to take better care of themselves and the planet, or birds may think men and women are presumptuous and full of shit.
