The publishing world is in Heraclitean flux and no publisher dare step in the same river twice, as witnessed by the story on the front page of The New York Times this morning (October 17, 2011).

Which means that this much is known: that the publishing world is changing. And a book like "An Old Junker" or "Lyrica"--both available right here from the publisher, IF SF Publishing, as well as from Small Press Distribution and Amazon--have a fighting chance to break even or maybe even make a modest profit, as well they should considering the literary merit of both.

In other news, the IF SF website will now concentrate on things pertaining to its corporate purpose--books, writers and readers, and related matters that might otherwise have fallen through the cracks--in the continuing quest to break even.
