We're Docked
TS Eliot famously wrote* “Humankind cannot bear very much reality.”
If this is so why do so many brilliant people, such as yoga instructors, tell us we must “live in the present?”
An apparent contradiction!
I love contradictions equally. Every morning I rise to meet the first contradiction of the day, whatever it might be and wherever it might take me, fearlessly. and without complaint. Contradictions delight me! To see a contradiction is like watching a squirrel in its cage before it is released into the wild!
I’m watching them right now, the squirrels that is, now free in the Metaverse of my backyard, meandering among small birds who themselves are searching for insects. It’s Nature that poses so many contradictions, so that we’re all occupied for a fortnight, not unlike a character in Shakespeare, Richard III for example.
It’s time to go, I’m being Goggled. This Googling is incessant! It seems to be the price I have to pay for my adventure, an adventure which is essentially spiritual. Google, google, google. It’s like my soul is a doorbell that rings constantly…
