Christian Science

Having been raised a Christian Scientist in the heyday of Christian Science but not having practiced Christian Science for many years, I wonder, what do Christian Scientist's look like these days?

Do the men still wear ties, and do the ladies wear dresses? Do most of the ladies look like Mary Baker Eddy and most of the men like Mary Baker Eddy's husband? I wonder, knowing the creation story.

Mary Baker Eddy fell on the ice, a fall that led to a miraculous physical healing that led to her discovering and founding Christian Science. She wrote a book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, that is the basis of the religion she founded.

I just got an email from my brother, perhaps more of a lapsed Christian Scientist than I. He lives in Las Vegas. He writes he's just had new rain gutters installed at his home, and is praying for rain so he can see if the rain gutters work the way they should work, that he got what he paid for. I wrote back to him, rain's a good thing to pray for.
