Government Tao

I woke this morning thinking I'd start a Political Action Committee.

The idea's to create a forum for people who feel good about government, who appreciate what government does, who either realize its potential or realize that it can't be lived without, or both, and who are willing to come forward and say so.

The notion's inspired by a recent story in the New York Times about the collapse of the government in Yemen.

There, I thought, is where people who don't like government should go to live--Yemen. If a person really doesn't like government, makes government the enemy, finds in government almost everything wrong with their own life and with the world, why not go and live in a place that has none?

There's a nice window of lawlessness now in Yemen, a lacuna created by the abdication of one government and the formation of a new government that might be exploited by those who favor no government at all.

(Btw, Yemen 's motto is "God, Country, Revolution, Unity, " a really nice mashup of words).

I'm not picking on Yemen, only presenting it as a place that offers an opportunity for those in the USA who say they so dislike government that they'd be willing to live without it, to stage real-life experiments in non-governmental living.

It's just a thought. Just like the idea of forming a PAC devoted to the idea of promoting good clean government, comprised of people who recognize the necessity of government, who admire its life-enhancing qualities and aren't afraid to say so.

I've already come up with a name: lovegov.org

The logo-mark's pictured.

Ok, so that's not a very good name. But the idea has merit, don't you think?
