Poetry at the Bette is a regularly scheduled event showcasing local writers and poets. Brooks Roddan is a writer and Publisher of IFSF Publishing. Mr. Roddan has published eight books and chapbooks including THE SECOND DREAM (Momentum Press), THE LIGHT OF THE LIGHT (Blue Earth), GROCERY TEXTS (Found Street), and THE FROG CLUB (Readymade). His work has appeared in newspapers, magazines, and journals in this country and in Europe.
Ben Jackson has an MFA from Warren Wilson College. He has taught creative writing to students from the second grade up to the college level. He currently teaches at the University of San Francisco and at the Writing Salon, a Bay Area creative writing school for adults. His poems have appeared in New England Review, Hudson Review, Beloit Poetry Journal, Prairie Schooner, The Journal, and elsewhere. He has received residency awards from Vermont Studio Center, Jentel Artist Residency Program, and Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts.
