American Dream with Exit Wound by Dawn McGuire published by IF SF Publishing has been nominated for the 2018 Northern California Book Award in Poetry as one of the best works by a northern California author published in 2017.

The Northern California Book Awards are sponsored by Northern California Book Reviewers, Poetry Flash, Women’s National Book Association-San Francisco Chapter, Mechanics' Institute Library, PEN West, the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library, and San Francisco Public Library.

The Northern California Book Awards ceremony is free and open to the public.

The 37th Annual Northern California Book Awards will be held Sunday, July 1, 2018, 1:00pm, Koret Auditorium, at the San Francisco Main Library, 100 Larkin Street, (enter on Grove). A lively public reception with book sales and signing for all of the nominated books will begin in the Library after the awards ceremony.
