I’m feeling very close this cold day in upstate Wyoming to Jan Sibelius, the Finnish composer, no stranger to cold weather, listening at the moment to Symphony #5, struck by how he inserted so many odd little tonal surprises so deftly in such strange little places.
Ok, the election didn’t go the way we thought it would go! The big takeaway (as they say on CNN, MSNBC, and FOX NEWS) is that The Right is going to have to be NICE from now on, or at the very least CIVIL, and the LEFT is now is a much better position to demand REPARATIONS for every man, woman and child forced to live gulag-style for 4 years under the DJ Trump administration.
DT just gave one of his daughters away in marriage this weekend at Mar-a-Lago, the only adult child of DT’s not to be sued by NY attorney general, Letitia James.
From a recent New York Times Book Review (OCTOBER 30, 2022) of a book titled, ‘Flush’ by Bryn Nelson about human evacuatory habits (as reviewed by Elizabeth Royte): “Studies have shown that people with a high level of disgust-sensitivity to feces overall are more likely to be politically conservative.”
Yesterday, on Sunday the Sabbath, while driving up the dirt road toward our cabin in the late afternoon, a Golden Eagle suddenly swooped right over us with a nice fresh plump rabbit in its mouth. A gaudy DARWINIAN moment I won’t soon forget.
After years of wondering, fretting, second-guessing etcetc, I finally understand why I find politics, especially American politics so darn interesting—American politics is just plain interesting!
