Mrs. Hageman Goes to Washington

The Harriet Hageman Era commenced yesterday with her historic victory over Liz Cheney in the race for Wyoming’s one (1) congressional seat.  Apparently, being Republican is in the water Wyoming drinks.

Hageman’s a woman the Piltdown* People of the Cowboy State chose 2-to-1 to unseat Ms. Liz. Hageman, who looks like a real person, is a 5th or 6th generation Wyomingite, was a Liz Cheney advisor and a Never Trumper not that long ago.

The campaign itself was intense—a lot of money poorly spent and lots and lots of press scrutiny—but denuded of ideas or issues, as the majority of political campaigns seem to be these days.

It was a one issue race in Wyoming, and the Piltdown People voted for someone named Donald Trump.

*The Piltdown Man (i.e. The Piltdown People), an anthropological hoax based upon the archeological find of the supposed fossilized skull and bone fragments of an ‘early human’. The hoax, perpetuated by a group of scientists in 1912, was finally exposed in 1953 as a forgery, one of the longest running deceptions in recorded history. When the bones of Hageman, Cheney, and Trump are unearthed, sometime in 30300 AD, they will all be found to be truly dead and identified as the Republicans they were, as will be the two current Wyoming senators, a man and a woman, the Adam and Eve of the Trump era, Barasso and Lummis.
