Collage: A Poem in the Manner of Brooks Roddan

Collage

I wear a green tee shirt

whereon the words

“what else must I do with my life?”

are written.

My shirt’s worn below a purple nose

and a head of white hair.

When I reach down

to touch my knees

It hurts like hell.

I must have torn the cartilage

between poetry and prose,

a solemn occasion indeed.

Stooped in supplication

I vow to rise once again in full glory

and blow my nose free

of impediment…
