At the poetry reading

Dear poet: when reading a poem read the poem, don't take up our time explaining what the poem is about and then reading the poem. Seal yourself off into the ideal enclosure your poem's created and give it to us that way. If your poem is a poem that's more than enough.

Dear reader: when listening to a poem, use a saw to create a hole in the wall, make of the hole a perfect square with the idea of creating a sculptural space into which can be inserted a work of art that will give you pleasure every time you hear it.
