Maureen Dowd doesn't know the blues

Maureen's column this morning--"The First Porn President" (The New York Times, Sunday Review, p.9, March 11, 2018)--begins with a bang and ends with a gross mis-statement: "As Muddy Waters famously sang the blues, "They call it stormy Monday, but Tuesday's just as bad; Wednesday's worse, and Thursday's also sad."

Anyone who knows the blues knows it wasn't Muddy Waters who sang "Stormy Monday," it was T-Bone Walker who not only sang the song but wrote the song as well.

How does this stuff happen? Is there no fact-checking?
