Ashley's Trump

Last night I asked Ashley, 38, degree in poli sci, two young children, resident of Portland, Oregon to give me 500 words on Trump's State of the Union address, which I knew she'd be watching as her appetite for all things political is acute. Ashley responded immediately:

I can't give you 500 because it was so lacking in substance.

Words that came to mind while listening: out of touch. Disingenuous. Phony. Dry mouth. Nauseating. Depressing. I'm so despondent when I think of the state of our union.

Then a little while later, this:

The whole immigration bit (convoluting the notion that our country is built on immigrants with the issue of the MS13 gang violence) was just vulgar and very gross. So un-American. So Trump.
