Television diary

I'm keeping a small notebook on the table beside the couch on which I sit to watch television, to record things I think while I'm watching--

democracy is best thought of as an illusion.

have i become more concerned with receiving answers than from formulating questions?

art is something we get meaning from every time we see it

empires don't collapse, they dissolve

i live in the pre-dystopian future in which indigenous cultures are being wiped out by capitalism...but to blame capitalism for everything...? not so sure about this.

there are more books not written than are

put more space in your poems, at least as much space to give them a chance to become anti-poems

writing with real ink is a luxury, in that i can really feel myself writing

good government, if there is such a thing, should be in the business of making its citizens lives as normal, as healthy as possible--by normal I mean in providing the circumstances that promote life--clean air, good water, as much freedom as possible from the fear of being harmed

television: an industry of the prosaic

even with all this technology, scientific advancement etc. why does it so often feel we're regressing to the middle ages? i suppose my mistake is understandning science metaphysically!

the best architcture creates invisibility

killing time: the most arrogant phrase ever

There might be a book somewhere in this, if I am able to align what I am watching with what I am thinking.
