There's lots to love about the word, "firewater".
A bad shot in golf is almost always much more interesting than a good shot. Bad shots are vivid, their badness is remembered far longer than a good shot is remembered, and for this reason this publisher would like to publish a book made up of stories about bad golf shots told by the people who made them.
Books that are best sellers are frogs; they're necessary to the ecological order, to keep things as we know them going along as we know them. People read best sellers to feel good about themselves, to feel good about what they already know about themselves and to learn about what others think they need to change. A best seller may keep you up all night reading, but in the morning you wake up feeling that you'd rather have been listening to frogs, that the frogs were more valuable because they are frogs and because they kept you awake.
The invention of film was the death of literature; literature was also reborn in film as a screenplay, a way of using words the way frogs use sound to tell both their story and our own.
