How strange that critics so frequently use the term, "underappreciated artist."
Who is it that's underappreciated?
The artist who is making his or her art, or the critic who doesn't have the power to create appreciation for the underappreciated artist?
I don't know the answer, but I do know there used to be something about an Aqua Velva man.
And that it's much more fun to make up your own story about things than it is always going to the Internet to find out what really happened.
How about those sportscasters who have the ability to differentiate between a player who is "very unique" and "really unique."
These truly talented men and women uphold the very highest standards of professionalism while also honoring the pure love of the game which so embodies the amateur spirit.
It's only a game, and because it's only a game it's as important as life itself. You have to play, you have no choice.
When your career comes to an end a sportscaster may ask you to describe your life in the game. "Perfect," you say, "I wound up knowing a whole lot about nothing."
