Robert Ryman
Where is my black coat? I hope I can find it! I either left it someplace or it's right where it should be, in the closet hanging on a coat hanger.
There's white and then there's white, and a white next to that white that's white and a white next to that white that's not white since it's a tiny bit less white than the white beside it.
Here it is, the black coat, it always knows where it is. The black coat is always ready, whether it's to go out to dinner or to attend a memorial service.
The problem is never with the black coat, the problem's with me, the one who wishes to wear the black coat but who has trouble finding it.
