Outside the cabin last night

Last night the moon rose late and came over the mountains and made enough light in the cabin so that we could read without electricity.

We went outside and looked up at the sky. The moon looked as at home as we were feeling.

Here on earth everything was polished silver by moonlight, not quite the way everything looks in real life but beautiful. Everything glowed with such bright inner and outer intensity that we couldn't tell the difference between the two, and so we believed we were seeing things as they really are.
