Dream house

Woke up thinking about good architecture, then opened the bedroom door in the house I'm living in now.

The goal is to build a new house that will begin to decompose the moment I stop living in it.

And to pour the rest of my life into this project.

Since Mies van der Rohe is not available, I have appointed myself architect.

First I have to find the land. It already knows where it is, I only know it's out there somewhere.

The land will determine the design to some degree, though I can say for certain that wherever the land may be the design of the house will be a tribute to Man rather than to God, and the new house, wherever it is, should be able to feel the sun coming up in the morning and going down in the evening and to express those feelings to everyone living inside.

I have always wanted to live inside a bookshelf filled with books I own but haven't read, like "Light in August" and The Upanishads, but am aware this is a whimsical and therefore unrealistic proposal.

Though perhaps the roof could be shaped like a copy of "Thus Spake Zarathustra" left open and turned upside down on a glass top table to mark the readers place.
