Monica Chernoff, 14, has written a really terrific piece about the difference between the life she lives and the life others live.

I've read it twice, and have come to two conclusions:

1) that you're either awake or you're not awake. Any sort of in-between condition is really no condition at all.

2) that some people are born knowing.

Very often good writing is simply clear thinking, that's why good writing is so rare.
