Knew lamp
I liked the lamp the moment I saw it, having never seen anything like it before.
Everything about the lamp pleased me. The design, the proportion, the color.
My intuition was that the lamp would make ideal occupation of the space I envisioned for it in my home, and that there was no need for measurement.
Intuition is as immediate as light. And the fact that I could buy the lamp from an independent retailer and not a chainstore was also attractive.
I couldn't wait to bring the new lamp home and install it in the space I'd envisioned.
Yes, I was right, the new lamp was brilliant, made for the place I'd envisioned. The space its physical form filled, the light it cast, the shadows the light made on the wall all confirmed the rightness of my intuition and the intuition of my partner, who also felt the same since first seeing the lamp and whose intuition is often much keener than mine.
Sometimes everything's so harmonious between us that whatever we decide fits into our lives so perfectly we don't even have to talk about it. The new lamp's one of these times.
We both like the lamp so much that neither of us want to turn it off, even when we're trying to sleep. We've been together long enough to know that this feeling won't last forever, but we're both enjoying it immensely in the meantime.
