Terracotta warriors

It's fun to go downtown where ordinary people like myself know they're ordinary and know there's no such thing.

At one moment I'm settling up a bill at the swank but overly-praised Wayfare Tavern (est. 2010) on Sacramento St. which includes a $12 'shot' of Sauvignon blanc, then walking past a Lufthansa flight crew of handsome men & women loading their bags into a white Chevy van in front of the Hilton, then stepping over a sleeping drunk on O'Farrell.

'Transportation is civilization' said Rudyard Kipling; transportation is what happens so fast.

A tomb is where we can learn all there is to learn from the past. China's Terracotta Warriors are are view at the Asian Art Museum through May 27, 2013.

As to the present, perhaps we could add to our current bureaucracy a Department of Common Sense whose mission it would be to see that each of its citizens have the best possible chance to die a pleasant death.
