Generative grammer

Is the man who is sitting at Aquatic Park all day today happy?

Is the man holding a transistor radio and who is sipping from a can of Rainier Ale a poet?

Is that man Jack Spicer who is a poet?

Is Jack Spicer who is on his deathbed the one who says, "my vocabulary did this to me"?

Is the poet who is Jack Spicer dead?

Is generative grammar a set of rules that rise from the belief that there is an innate universal grammar, that there is a precisely formulated set of rules whose output is all and only the sentences of the language it generates?
