A Collage Featuring Felix Feneon

Collage is cold blooded. Like the report in the local newspaper about a man who threw himself out of a window or a woman who drowned in the lake.

Whereas poetry is warm and painting even warmer than poetry.

Collage is the order putting the unordered back in order in the strictest most random way possible so that what was unordered appears to be ordered, like a piece of journalism that has become a poem.

Journalism is to order what poetry is to disorder.

Felix Feneon, journalist, disordered journalism to the degree that it became poetry.

Felix Feneon appears to have become part of a collage that contains a chair, his portrait, and a poem by Brooks Roddan.

Cold blooded, but in the way of bringing things that are dead back to life, to permit us to remember the time we were first excited about art.
