Obama

Obama is beyond us.

He's alienated his base--us.

The only way we can make ourselves respect his record as President--his actual action in contradistinction to the rhetoric with which he sought the office and so gained our trust--is to imagine that perhaps there will be a civil war sometime in the next 50 years, a possibility considering the latent racism in this country and the growing disparities between the rich and the poor.

Obama looks good only in this context.

Otherwise Obama's not been the man we believed him to be, in view of both the promises he made that have gone unfulfilled and the great expectations he created within people like us.
