Consumer

The crow I saw yesterday, ripping apart the McDonald's papersack in the bed of a pick-up truck parked at Harding Park--

now there's a consumer!

I watched with great interest as the crow finished his meal, then hopped up to the top of the cab to watch the white paper he'd shredded fall to the ground.

The crow could eat no more, but had gained some elemental purchase on the circumstances of his world.

I ascribe male chracteristics to the crow, but I could be wrong.
