Beauty

Have you ever had one of those moments when every person you see looks beautiful, each in his or her own way?

And you want to go up to each person and tell them that not only are they beautiful, but their beauty is completely singular and belongs completely to them, that they've made their own beauty, beauty different from the person they're sitting or standing next to, whose beauty is beautiful too.

You can't say anything, not even if you're a poet, at such a moment. At such a moment, if you ever have one, you are a poet writing a poem whether the poem becomes written or not.
