The day after Veterans Day

The shop window in Paris is filled with soldiers. It's hard to tell whether they're marching to war or returning home from war. I assume they're marching to war as none of them seem wounded or bandaged, as I assume they would be if they were returning home from war. It can be assumed the men were led by a man like Napoleon, who said after losing one million men in Russia that one night in the brothels of Paris would replace them.
