Buddha says there are 63,000 souls but only one you and one me.

Why are you telling me this?

No reason, just something I remembered this morning and thought I'd share with you.

Yeah, well.

(A silence between them begins now, and lasts for about an hour).

You know, if I died tomorrow I'd die knowing I'd had a good life.

In other words, there's nothing more you want to know.

What would Buddha say?

I have no idea, do you?

Well, I love you and want you to be happy just as much as I want myself to be happy, knowing that we're the only two people in the world.
