"Sri Ramakrishna Invites Us To Enter Our Inner Chamber"

The lecture was given by Swami Prabuddhananada, Minister, The Vedanta Society of Northern California, Sunday March 20, 2011:

     It is necessary to take care of the body, to have a healthy relationship with the physical world.

     The problem is in looking for bliss in finite things.

     Looking this way limits happiness; the opposite occurs.

     There are 3 levels of consciousness--waking, sleeping, dreaming.

     There is also a level of consciousness free of these levels.

     The 4th level is God, the witness consciousness that watches the other three.

     This level is within, it is where all the answers are, all peace, all bliss.

     Only within, only in your own chamber will you see your true self.

     Stay in yourself. Don't jump out.

     You are wandering here and there. Come home.

Swami Prabuddhananada speaks as if he is thinking about the things he is saying as he is saying them. As English is not his native tongue, it is sometimes difficult to understand what he is saying but always worth the effort.
