Some thoughts on pioneers, Portland, Oregon

Leaves: start with the opposite: where you're least expected to go: that's a good place to start to be yourself, at least in this theory of pioneers.

Then keep going, don't care so much about consequences or what others say, knowing you're not meant to hurt anyone, that you only wish to live your life.

This isn't submission, it's providing opportunity for beauty in the world and sustenance for yourself, your family and future generations.

Yes, there will be moments you'll have to yourself when you'll either want to live or die: such moments may be no more or less like a leaf falling from a tree and having no decision about the matter.

In any event, you've already fallen, not in imitation of a leaf, but as a true pioneer, going where only you could go.
